Your Protocol Specifies a Temperature. This Confirms You Hit It.

Every protocol in the Forge system is built around a specific temperature range. 50ยฐF and 56ยฐF are not the same session โ€” they produce different responses in the body. Our floating digital thermometer gives you an exact water temperature reading in five seconds. Drop it in before you enter, confirm your number, get in. That's the whole job โ€” and it's a small one that makes every session more deliberate.

-4ยฐF Minimum Range
ยฑ0.1ยฐF Accuracy
122ยฐF Maximum Range

Why Temperature Accuracy Matters
Accurate Temperatures Mean Consistent Results.

The difference between 50ยฐF and 55ยฐF isn't just a number โ€” it's a meaningfully different stimulus for your nervous system. It's the difference between the correct neurochemical response and a session that misses its target entirely. This thermometer is an essential back-up to your plunge's built-in system.

01 ยท PROTOCOL ACCURACY
Confirmation Before Every Session

Drop it in 30 seconds before entry. Confirm your water is at the temperature the protocol specifies. Adjust if needed. Enter knowing you're working at the right intensity.

02 ยท PROGRESSION TRACKING
Real Data, Real Numbers

Your Cold Control scores mean more when the temperature input is exact. Tracking your adaptation over time requires consistent, accurate data. This makes that possible.

03 ยท SESSION TIMER
Temperature and Time. One Device

The dual display shows water temperature and elapsed time simultaneously. One less thing to manage. Keep your phone dry.

04 ยท CONTRAST SESSIONS
Sauna + Cold Ratio Precision

In a contrast session, cold water temperature rises between rounds as the tub warms from heat exposure. Checking between rounds keeps your protocol on target from start to finish.

Protocol Note

The Forge protocols are calibrated to temperature ranges that map to specific physiological responses. Knowing your actual water temperature is what separates a session you ran from a session you ran at the right intensity. Make sure you close that gap.

5-Second Response

Drop it in and read the temperature before you enter. No waiting, no guessing. The 5-second response time means you have an accurate reading in the time it takes to step up to the tub.

โ†’ Read it before you enter.
Floating Design

It floats face-up. Drop it in, read it at eye level, pick it up. No fishing around the bottom of the tub, no losing it in the drain, no holding it underwater to get a reading.

โ†’ Always at the surface. Always readable.
IP67 Waterproof

Rated for full submersion. Leave it in during your session, use it across hundreds of plunges, drop it โ€” it is built to live next to a cold plunge long-term. ABS body with rubber overmold.

โ†’ Built for daily cold plunge use.
Dual Display

Shows temperature and elapsed time simultaneously. Use the timer function to track your session duration without a separate device โ€” or pair it with The Anchor for a fully instrumented plunge setup.

โ†’ Temperature and time. One device.

  • Wide temperature range โ€” -4ยฐF to 122ยฐF (-20ยฐC to 50ยฐC), covers every cold plunge and contrast therapy application
  • 5-second response time โ€” accurate reading before you step in, no prolonged wait
  • IP67 waterproof rating โ€” fully submersible, built for repeated water exposure
  • Floating design โ€” positive buoyancy keeps display face-up and readable at water level
  • Dual display โ€” shows current temperature and records elapsed session time simultaneously
  • Fahrenheit and Celsius โ€” switch between units to match your preferred logging format
  • ABS + rubber construction โ€” impact-resistant body with rubber overmold grip for wet hands
  • Three-button interface โ€” up, mode, down controls for straightforward operation
  • LED indicator โ€” status light for at-a-glance operational confirmation

  1. Drop the thermometer into your cold plunge 30โ€“60 seconds before your planned entry time. The floating design will orient the display face-up automatically.
  2. Wait 5 seconds for the reading to stabilize. The display shows current water temperature. Compare to your protocol's target temperature range.
  3. If the temperature is outside your target range, adjust your chiller setpoint and wait until actual water temperature reaches the target before entering.
  4. After your session, rinse and dry the thermometer and store it with your cold plunge setup. The IP67 rating means water exposure is never a concern โ€” but a rinse extends the lifespan of the display seal.

Satisfaction Guarantee

If your thermometer arrives damaged or defective, contact warranty@frostforgedwellness.com within 7 days of delivery with your order number and photos. We will make it right.

Accuracy note: For maximum accuracy, allow the thermometer to acclimate to ambient temperature before measuring. Readings taken immediately from a hot or cold storage environment may require a 60-second stabilization period in the water before fully settling.

How accurate is it compared to my chiller's built-in display?

This thermometer measures actual water temperature at the surface. Your chiller's sensor measures temperature at the intake or output port โ€” which may differ from the overall water temperature by 2โ€“5ยฐF depending on circulation, insulation, and sensor age. Use this as your reference reading and treat the chiller display as a setpoint control, not a measurement instrument.

Does it actually float face-up?

Yes. The thermometer is buoyancy-weighted to float with the display facing up, readable from above at the water's edge. You do not need to hold it in the water โ€” drop it in and read it.

Can I leave it in the tub during my session?

Yes. The IP67 rating means it is fully waterproof for submersion. You can leave it floating throughout your session. Many practitioners use the built-in timer to track session duration while the temperature is visible simultaneously.

Does it work in Fahrenheit?

Yes. Press the Mode button to switch between ยฐC and ยฐF. The display shows whichever unit you have selected. For reference with Forge protocols, all temperatures are listed in ยฐF.

How often should I check my chiller sensor against this thermometer?

Monthly is sufficient for most users. If you notice your Cold Control scores or session difficulty changing unexpectedly without a protocol change, check your water temperature against this thermometer โ€” chiller sensor drift is a common and overlooked cause.

What is the return policy?

All sales are final for non-defective products. If your thermometer arrives damaged or defective, contact warranty@frostforgedwellness.com within 7 days of delivery with your order number and photo documentation.
